Uplifting the proliferating workforce
with an edge
An organisation, which rents hoisting and rigging equipment to customers across India, was in the midst of rapid business growth that shows no signs of slowing down. From 4 warehouses 10 years ago to 10 now, rapid construction is driving this growth.

The Challenge
To keep pace with rapid growth, it needed a better, more reliable, and simplified IT infrastructure while adding more capacity.
The approach
There was a need for us to ensure that its growing remote workforce had the best tools to do their jobs so they can always access customer information in the field.
The Solution
The Dell Latitude 5000 Series laptops were reliable, rugged, and can better serve the customers and let the employees do their work from anywhere with more dependable equipment. In its primary data centre, Dell EMC PowerEdge servers were implemented to support email and management servers, file servers, and test and run customer data applications and Dell EMC Open Manage Systems Management was used to manage its PowerEdge servers. Using VMware-based virtualised environment, data centre costs became less- 36 virtual machines are now performing various tasks, as opposed to having 36 standalone physical servers saving server costing by thousands of dollars.
